How we review
This page describes how claims get onto this site. It is written so that you can check us against it.
Where our information comes from
- Manufacturer specifications. Every number we cite (weight limits, sensor ratings, refresh rates, dimensions) is taken from the manufacturer's official product page or spec sheet for the United States market. We re-check the live page before publishing, because spec sheets change without announcements.
- Named professional testing. Where specialist outlets have published original measurements, we cite them by name in the article. We do not restate their results as our own.
- Owner reports. Long-term reports from communities like Reddit and Discord are treated as reports — useful for durability and fit patterns, never as measurement. We label them as community reporting when we lean on them.
What we do not publish
- Claims we cannot trace to a source we can point to. If a manufacturer does not publish a number and no reputable outlet has measured it, we write "not published" instead of guessing.
- Ratings we cannot attribute. When a product has no verifiable rating source, we omit the rating entirely rather than present one.
- First-person testing narratives that did not happen. We are spec-first reviewers, not a test lab, and our language reflects that honestly.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix the article and advance its "Updated" date. Material corrections are made at the specific claim, not silently. Report errors via the contact page.
Independence
Affiliate commissions, described on the affiliate disclosure page, never determine whether a product appears in our picks. Products without any affiliate program are reviewed on the same terms as products with one.
